Popeyes’ Lemonade is a Big Dill

Pickles are having a moment, and Popeyes has grabbed hold of that moment with a bold, briny limited-time lineup. The “pickle menu takeover” features five transformative items: a Pickle Glaze Chicken Sandwich, featuring buttermilk-battered chicken coated in a zesty, pickle-flavored glaze, topped with thick-cut pickles and served on a toasted brioche bun; Pickle Glaze Bone-In Wings and Boneless Wings, both tossed in the pickle-flavored glaze; Fried Pickles, starring a batter of Popeyes signature seasoning and served with a side of ranch dipping sauce; and the Chilled Pickle Premium Lemonade, a sweet-yet-savory lemonade infused with real pickle juice.

“We don’t just follow flavor trends—we dive in headfirst and make them our own,” says Amy Alarcon, VP of culinary innovation. “Why not go all in?” The Chilled Pickle Premium Lemonade is the sleeper hit, tapping into consumers’ love for new and exciting offerings in the beverage category. “When you think of pickles and lemonade separately, you don’t automatically think that those two flavors would go together,” she says. “But, man, oh man, when my team added the pickle juice from our barrel-cured pickles, it was surprisingly delicious and refreshing. It’s like a hydration drink that would be amazing as a quick pick-me-up after a workout. Probably great for hangovers, too!”
