Menu developers can create exciting new builds by updating the flavors and forms of iconic banana dishes. Ingredients, components and flavor profile swaps are easy to implement while injecting a measure of intrigue sure to attract attention. Here are three examples:

  1. 1Banana Cream Pie
    • FLAVOR SWAP: Fire-roasted Banana Cream Pie with coconut-sugar whipped cream and peanut caramel
    • FORMAT SWAP: Banana Cream Pie Milkshake drizzled with peanut-caramel fudge and topped with whipped cream
  2. 2Banana Bread
    • FLAVOR SWAP: Coconut-Banana Bread with toasted mango and sesame seed crunch topping
    • FORMAT SWAP: Warm Chocolate-Banana Bread Pudding baked to order in a cast-iron skillet piled high with cubes of custard-soaked banana bread and chocolate chunks
  3. 3Banana Split
    • FLAVOR SWAP: Sweet Plantain Banana Split with crispy fried ripe plantains, toasted coconut ice cream and a dark chocolate-cinnamon fudge sauce
    • FORMAT SWAP: Grilled Banana Bread Split featuring layers of grilled bread with banana-coconut cream, milk chocolate sauce and toasted walnuts
